We know that your privacy is important to you. We collect, use and disclose your information for one reason: to serve you better. Information collected by Landscape Ontario, (LO) is used to maintain effective communication, and provide you with the services you want. Active, Associate, Chapter Associate and Out of Province members may acquire the membership list for direct mail marketing.

Collection and Use of Contact Information

We will collect personal information that you provide us with when you:

  • Join as a member of LO
  • Attend either Congress or Garden Expo
  • Attend a winter seminar sponsored by LO
  • Subscribe to either Landscape Trades or Horticulture Review
  • Attend a chapter meeting/event, or a commodity group meeting/event

We may also collect information about you from our service providers/endorsed suppliers.

Online Contests, Questions or Surveys

When you ask a question, participate in a survey, or enter a contest (sponsored by LO), through our websites, we may collect your name, address, phone number, email address, commodity type and company name. We use this information to administer your participation. We may collect the IP (Internet protocol) addresses, and other related information such as page requests, browser type, of visitors to our websites. We use this information to monitor and improve our sites.

Access to Personal Information

You may request access to the personal information we have on file. It may be "stored" differently, depending on the department. Please make your request in writing to LO's Privacy Officer, stating which personal information you are requesting. We will try to respond to such requests as soon as possible, and will advise you if for some reason we cannot respond right away.
